Returns & Cancellations

** IMPORTANT NOTE FOR CABINETS: Our bathroom cabinets are made with moisture resistant materials, NOT WATERPROOF materials and must not be exposed to excessive moisture. Care must be taken to dry spillages or leakage of water that may gain access to cabinetry. Water damage cannot be used as a reason for your warranty claim or considered a fault/defect unless suitable evidence of proper usage and installation is provided. All cabinetry must be installed by a qualified & licensed trades-person or warranty is void. 

If cabinet is wall mounted, wall must be properly reinforced. The position and type of wall mounting fixtures to be used will depend on the wall fabric that the vanity is to be mounted on. All cabinets are supplied with mounting screws/fixtures however these are not intended to be the sole fixings for the cabinet — extra wall fixings may be necessary (type to be determined by the licensed tradesperson installing the product, taking into account the wall material & architectural structure). All vanity tops and cabinetry must be sealed correctly to each other and to the wall/tiles.

Incorrect installation, misuse, improper care and maintenance will void warranty immediately – no exceptions. 


  • Return merchandise authorisation (RMA) is a part of the process of returning a product in order to receive a refund, replacement, or repair during the product’s warranty period. All return claims are to be advised in writing via email to sales@vanity.sydney OR sales@homegear.net.au (use one email or the other). Please quote in your email your tax invoice number, Company Name/Name, contact telephone number and provide photographic evidence in the event of any physical damage or defects to your goods.
  • A strict 7 day return policy applies. Goods MUST be returned no later than 7 days from the date a claim was made.
  • A full refund will only be applied if goods are deemed not fit for purpose or an alternative cannot be offered. If the alternative is deemed unsuitable, a store credit will be offered.
  • In the event of items being “oversold”, an alternative will be offered or a full refund
  • A 15% restocking fee of the original purchase price will apply to returned products requiring a refund, credit or exchange due to incorrect size purchased, changes to renovation plan/style or change of mind

a. The following conditions applies to all goods returned:

  • Returned goods must be in original packaging and condition with all included parts and fixtures.
  • Freight and delivery charges are not eligible for credit or refund and will be deducted from the refund.

b. The following goods will not be accepted:

  • Any products that are custom made or custom cut are non-returnable, as our suppliers will not take them back. Please ensure all measurements/specifications given to us is correct.
  • Any bathroom vanities assembled or require tapholes drilled by Homegear Australia. Please ensure you choose the correct size and model before asking us to assemble the unit for you.
  • Any product which a customer may have damaged, altered, proceeded with installation, installed or installed incorrectly in any way. All installations MUST be carried out by a licensed plumber/builder/electrician/installer for warranty purposes or warranty is void.



Deliveries: Orders can only be canceled before they are dispatched from our warehouse.  Once your order is en-route it can longer be cancelled. If you refuse an order, it will fall under our standard return policy which is subject to a deduction of round trip delivery fee from your refund.

Stone Benchtops: Orders including stone benchtops and stone tops that require drilling of holes cannot be cancelled once the sketch of the stone cut-outs have been confirmed. If you require a change to the confirmed cut-out sketch of your stone top, call us immediately on (02) 8542 6784 or any of the mobile numbers listed on our contact page – once your stone is already cut or in the process of being cut, we will not be able to cancel or make any changes so please ensure all measurements, basin and mixer positions are 100% decided on as these are non-refundable nor exchangeable.

We cannot cancel an order unless we receive your request in writing to sales@vanity.sydney OR sales@homegear.net.au (use one email or the other) or via our contact form prior to dispatch. Any cancellations requested over the phone must be followed up with a written request via the above methods. You must receive an acknowledgment from us confirming the cancellation for an order to be cancelled.


Faulty/Defective Items

  1. Upon delivery or pick up of goods, customers are strongly encouraged to inspect their goods to ensure that there are no signs of damage. Any claims must be made within 48hrs of delivery or pick up by contacting us via phone or email.

  2. No claim for replacement/exchange/credit/refund will be accepted for damaged goods after 7 days from the day of delivery or pick up.

  3. We hold no accountability for damaged goods after they are picked up or delivered (No exceptions). Deliveries must be checked by the customer upon arrival. It is not the driver’s responsibility to check items.

  4. Products must be checked for any visible damage prior to installation – proceeding to install the product is deemed as accepting the condition of the product. Warranty does not cover faults caused by normal wear and tear, improper use, lack of maintenance, incorrect installation or part installation by any person other than a licensed installer.



Only full priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale or discounted items cannot be refunded or exchanged – please choose carefully before purchasing.



Items approved for a return are required to be returned to our warehouse at 6-8 Hampstead Rd, Auburn NSW 2144

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

If shipping an item over $75, a trackable shipping service or shipping insurance is strongly encouraged. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item if no tracking is available.


All returns will be handled on a case by case basis and is at the sole discretion of Homegear Australia Pty Ltd.

Homegear Australia will not be held accountable for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or injury to the customer or any third party which includes, without limitation, out of pocket expenses, labour costs and/or fees, however so caused, including as a result of incorrect, unsuitable or wrong size purchases, faulty or incorrect installation of products, misuse or negligence.
