Care & Maintenance

For best results, clean mirrors using methlated spirits and water at a ratio of 30% methylated spirits/70% water
Avoid getting water on the back and sides of the mirror as damage to silver backing can occur
In coastal areas, we recommend wiping around the edge of the mirror once a month to avoid salt build up that can cause corrosion

All items are checked prior to dispatch to ensure goods are in perfect condition. Any breakages or damage during transit and/or on arrival must be claimed with your courier/freight service as soon as possible. We recommend checking the items prior to signing whenever possible. Transit insurance for fragile and heavy items is highly encouraged, in particular for loose packages (i.e not on a pallet).

**IMPORTANT! If you are ordering more than one heavy/bulky/fragile item such as large vanities & cabinets, toilets, baths etc we recommend transporting it on a pallet. This will significantly reduce the risk of damage caused by improper/manual handling. Our pallet and handling service fee is $45 for the inital pallet, subsequent pallets at $20 per pallet. Items will be securely shrink-wrapped onto one pallet where possible. This service is available on request.

Please note if you are using your own courier/freight service, we will not be held liable for any damages that may occur once the products have been dispatched from our warehouse.

[ RETURN POLICY ]

Items must be returned within 30 days in its original condition i.e. brand new and undamaged – all fittings & included parts/extras must be returned along with the original packaging and/or box in a re-sale-able condition. 15% restocking fee applies to all returns and exchanges. Please choose carefully and ensure all dimensions/sizing are correct and that the product suits its purpose when purchasing. Returns will not be accepted if you have simply changed your mind, ordered the wrong size or incorrect product. No returns will be accepted for as-is items, display/floor models, discounted/marked down items.

We try our best to ensure that every product and colour shade is accurately represented online however there may be instances where the actual product may differ slightly due to differences in photographic lighting and/or monitor/screen quality & configurations.

SHIPPING & DELIVERIES

Freight/shipping cost applies to all bulky items and needs to be calculated manually. Please contact us on sales@homegear.net.au or call us on 02 8542 6784 for a freight cost estimate.

UNDER 20 KGS

Surcharges apply to PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers and Parcel Collect addresses. Please contact us prior if you are requiring items to be sent to those addresses.
If no one is home to receive delivery, the item will either be left in a secure location or a missed delivery card is left at the premises. Depending on the carrier used, it may be taken back to the depot for re-delivery or to a local participating location for collection where it is help for up to 10 business days* before being returned to Sender.

BULKY ORDERS

SYDNEY METRO AREA DELIVERIES:

For bulky items, delivery is to be pre-organised with the office. We generally need 1 – 2 weeks’ notice prior to delivery.
Deliveries are carried out by our company driver or Capital Transport Services.
All deliveries are between 11 am – 5 pm, the driver will call you 30 minutes prior to delivery.
We reserve the right to use an alternative arrangement in the event that courier does not cover your area.
If there is nobody at site to receive the delivery, a re-delivery fee will apply. All deliveries are unloaded on the ground floor; no items will be delivered inside the house (NO EXCEPTIONS). Deliveries will not be taken inside the house or upstairs for safety reasons.
Some items may require more than one person for handling, it is your responsibility to provide additional person at the delivery address.

RURAL NSW & INTERSTATE DELIVERIES:

Bulky items are sent on a pallet where neccessary. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure someone is available to assist with pallet unloading at residential and business addresses. Items will not be taken off the pallet, and pallets will only be delivered to ground floor for all deliveries.
The tracking information will be emailed to you once the order is dispatched. For any amendments to orders and order tracking after the order is dispatched, please contact us immediately. We will not be able to alter any orders once the order has been dispatched.
As part of our normal service we usually ship stock items within 2 business days of cleared payment but please allow up to seven days for shipment as occasionally shipments are held up for reasons beyond of our control. We do not ship on weekends and public holidays. Bulky orders may take up to 2 weeks for dispatch.

Pick up is available from our store in Auburn. Our address is 6-8 Hampstead Rd, Auburn NSW 2144
All pick-ups and deliveries are to be organised beforehand. Please allow 1 week for pick-ups and 2 weeks for deliveries. We will notify you once your order is ready.
Please check availability of item before purchasing if you wish to pick up within 3 days of order.
We are not liable for any damaged products claim once the item has been picked up or delivered as it is the customer’s responsibility to check the product upon receiving it.

For all pick ups, our hours are:

Monday to Saturday: 10:00 am to 4:30 pm

Please note we require complete payment before goods are delivered or dispatched. If paying with a credit card, the name on the card must match the name on the order.

If we are unable to fulfill all or part of your order due to goods being unavailable, we will use all endeavours to either:

Contact you within 5 business days to either arrange a full or partial refund; or,
Change your order to replace the goods with a comparable product as agreed. Where an alternate product cannot be agreed on, we will refund you the price paid for the goods.
